A report under taken by the Forum for Private Business has found that small business health insurance must be made more easily available even if that means that insurance companies must team up with other industry wide organisations to make sure that provision of healthcare is made cheap enough for the entire business community to benefit from private health insurance.

The report stated that all small businesses need to be encouraged to take out a policy for their workforce as it has been found out that the provision of corporate healthcare is more likely to "cut absenteeism and boost staff satisfaction". The main thrust of this being that with a good quality comprehensive system of medical coverage the workforce is more likely to return speedily to the workplace, both because they are returning to health more quickly and because a healthy workplace is more often that not a happy workplace and a place people would prefer to be rather than the clinic.

The benefit of this move by the forum is that it puts forward a plan where there can be a collective, rather than an individualistic approach, where several companies can band together to get a policy which is affordable enough for everybody to benefit. This is the best approach for anybody who has a very small company, this way an umbrella organisation would be the insurers.
